Everybody knows Woodcreek has rallies and dances and spirit days; everyone knows we build floats once a year, that there posters are plastered on every inch of wall, and that every once in a while lunchtime music mysteriously appears in the quad. But where do all these events come from? Who plans them? Who cleans up all the dance decorations after the DJ packs up? The answer, my fellow Woodcreek students, would be your industrious student government officers.
Not only does student government plan school events, but they participate in programs and events involving the community. Student government was involved in the "Every Fifteen Minutes" program in March 2008, student government members are involved in site council, the district schoolboard, and more. Student government approves all the funds to be allocated for students, creates events, and spend dozens of hours outside of school working to make Woodcreek better. The members of student government are more than just students, they are leaders.
We, the student leaders of Woodcreek, work hard to plan our dances, rallies, spirit days, and other student events that take place on campus; we want YOU to know the scoop. The student government section on the school website is your link to the happenings and planning taking place in student government. Missed an event? Want to know the super secret details of homecoming? Curious about the next rally date? Read about it here.
