121 viewsParent and Community Survey (3/8/2010)

Woodcreek High School is seeking the feedback and input of our parents and community in...

...our upcoming WASC process.  WASC is an organization that reviews and provides accreditation to schools.  We use this process to review and re-examine where we are, and where we wish to head as an educational institution.  Input from our parents and community is very valuable in this process as it helps us determine our effectiveness.

Please help us by taking the time to complete an online survey.  The survey is anonymous, and takes about 20-30 minutes to complete.  Some of the areas you may find easier if your student is present to provide input.  The survey can be found at http://www.whatworksinschools.org/ps_survey_login.cfm, and directions to the survey are available.  To log in, you will need an access code.  Please contact our staff at the school, 916-771-6565, for this code.

Thank you for your assistance.

Woodcreek High School students get in the spirit of giving!

Over the last two months Woodcreek High School students have found ways tobe positive forces in our greater community.  Woodcreek students recognize the importance of giving back to those in need.  The student government class sponsored a Blood Drive in November that produced 138 life saving pints, raised $700 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and contributed over 9,000 cans of food for the Salvation Army.   The National Honor Society sponsored a gift giving program for an elementary school in North Highlands with over 420 children served.  The Key Club collected 62 coats for the Coats for Kids program.  All of these efforts are coordinated and conducted by students with some staff guidance.  We are very proud of our students and their efforts at making a difference in the community.  Great job Woodcreek!
