9th Grade Registration

Planning to take the ACT next year? Take the PLAN!

A "pre-ACT" for 10^th graders, the PLAN^® is a powerful predictor of success on the ACT, and focuses attention on career preparation and improving academic achievement.  The PLAN will be offered Saturday, March 20th, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm in the WHS Cafeteria.   Cost is only $15 and can be paid at the attendance office or WHS web store.

THE DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS FRIDAY, MARCH 19th!

Woodcreek High School will host 8th grade Parent Orientation on Monday, February 22nd, from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. in the WHS Theatre.  Because of limited seating, this presentation is geared for parents.  Please bring your registration packet with you for reference.

On Tuesday - Thursday, March 9 - 11, Woodcreek High School will host registration appointments for incoming 9th grade students.  Registration information and appointment times have been mailed out.  If you have not received your information by March 1st, please contact the registrar Ann Skinner at (916) 771-6565 x4025.

Please have all required forms, including the course request sheet, filled out completely (8 classes and 6 alternates) before you arrive.  Counselors will meet with parents and students with completed paperwork first.  An area will be available for completion of the paperwork if not done so beforehand.

Update: We have provided the 9th Grade Registration PowerPoint presentation from the orientation held February 22nd.

Specific information for 9th (currently in 8th grade):

• Your course selection sheet is yellow.  If you do not have a course selection sheet, please print a new one.
• Carefully choose your courses for 9th grade based on:
  • graduation requirements (use your 4-year plan)
  • college admission a-g requirements (also noted in the program planning guide and your course selection sheet)
• Use the Program Planning Guide to get descriptions and pre-requisites for all courses offered at WHS.

In an effort to keep parents and students updated with valuable guidance information - and to make student materials and presentations available to parents -- the Woodcreek counselors have established a new online instructional course on Blackboard.

WHS parents and students can log on as a guest using the following:
